Palm trees sway like old elephants,
A sun slowly melts into the horizon,
My toes slowly sink into the sand watching...

An empty sea.

The sea was empty and I was alone,
No gliding fin pierced the surface,
No graceful leap to break the stillness.

The sea was lonely.

I left the sound of the rolling waves,
Removing the sand from between my toes,
Determined to find my very own dolphin,

My only dolphin.

Impossibility lurks around each twist and turn,
Windows of hope locked shut,
Beneath the howling of rocking trees,

There had to be one.

A tattered roof, a squeaking door,
Ceasing the boundless desire,
Is a souvenir store where I can find...

The dolphin that is only mine.
