My Purse

A small rectangular object that stays silent on my table
A beautiful shade of white and a dash of little brown
Very light and delicate as it lies on my hand
Weighs like a mini notebook and as gentle as a feather
Feels like smooth cotton as I rub my fingers on the surface
As soft and squishy like my pillow I sleep on
Stays all quiet and still
And when I look at it I feel nice and happy
It's always near me so I can keep a good eye on it
More important to me than my pencils, pens and rubbers
Just like my mum
Bright bold and lively
Sweet like my dad
Cheering and supportive
So special to me for it keeps all my money
The graceful silk ribbon
Makes it look strong and courageous
My purse is like a friend
Who never leaves me
