My Soccer Ball

Pale grey like a raincloud
red like the fire burning within our souls
like a snake slithering in and out
round, flat torn up it's lost its hold on life
shaped like that of a planet
however, pale in size comparison
like a weathered orchard of contrasts
good and bad, yin and yang
Dreams and hopes lie awaiting
super, surreal skills showcases as I run
a one touch machine.
Tasting of Victory and defeat
Once alive, blooming with colours
now gone, all of it forgotten
faded shapes and colours cover the surface
the origin is clouded everything lost
The final decider Goal or not
the truth to be unravelled
memories.
It is filled with what I hope for anything I want can be mine if I work hard for it.
endless possibilities.
