My Special Friend

His baby pink nose poking around for food,
With an empty stomach he's in a foul mood;
And then, he spots a wonderful sight,
The glimpse of this carrot is such a delight;
Creamy white and chocolate brown,
His beautiful face never wears a frown;
Bundles of fur scurries around the cage,
He's quite smart for his age;
His fur is like an echidna's spikes,
Pointing in which ever direction it likes;
Black beady eyes stares fearfully,
As he approaches us carefully;
He and his sisters snuggle together,
From the cold and frost of rainy weather;
The warm laughter and high-pitched shrieking,
After a game of hide and seeking;
Noob has been an amazing companion,
He would've grown to be a champion;
I wish I could forever be with this friend,
But it looks like his life has come to an end.
