Bustling crowds tightly-packed-together
In a marketplace bigger than a mystery
Big eyes observe from a shelf
Watching, loneliness etched into its face
I spy its short black fur and fine whiskers
And adorable paws, white as dawn
Together we
Journey around
Japan, down
Stone slab stairs.
Through tranquil Zen gardens
Jubilant nostalgia of rainy puddles
And ice creams on freezing days
My little furry friend, no longer alone.
