My tree

You protect me from the sun,
I can call you my best friend,
I really need you a ton.
Well, it really depends,
Cos’ I cut you down and made my bed,
I cut your arms and cut your legs,
Just to sleep I made you dead.
I am sorry why did I have to be so cruel!
Just to sleep in royalty I killed my best friend,
I made you suffer while burning all those fossil fuels.
I lost something I cannot mend.
In the olden days, we used to play,
I used to climb your branches and watch
When I betrayed you I was left in dismay.
I shamelessly saw you be botched.
I am sorry my friend I hope you can forgive me,
For all that tragedy that you had to go through.
I wish your soul can now be free.
Haunting me the treachery I cannot undo.
