As I stare into his eye, I stray.
I see fireworks and my grandparents.
They are both fading away,
But he will be treasured.

He was gifted to me on New Year.
He shines like a diamond.
To me he is dear.
His jagged jade gleams in the light.

He is slowly getting older.
He is small as a pebble,
His meaning is as big as a boulder.
He looks over me like an angel.

Carved into his glowing green,
The slowest of the twelve,
My zodiac pig gleams,
As he sits, staring out.
