Nan and Pop

Nan and Pop
As strong as a solid rock
My grandparents love me with a caring heart
The loops are a pig’s tail
And
The diamonds die down
The little silver twinkling links in the light
Even though I sort of get spoiled by my nan and pop this is the most important thing in the world
It is pure sliver with engraved writing on it “Benowa Primary 2018” and diamonds on the back
But when I clean it, looks like it was brand new again
It was made for me,
It reminds me of times in my school especially the ones that I loved
Whenever I look at it, I see my Nan and Pop doing their favourite things, drinks and chatting at the pub.
Whenever I wear it, it’s like I can feel their pulse on my wrist
Even when we’re far apart I can feel them near
Because of my most prized possession given
From them to me
You are the sizzle to my bacon
Nan and pop, I owe you my heart
