Frilled-neck lizards are so unconcerned,

As if they are unbothered by their predators,

Like royalty, on the top of the pyramid.

They stand on their hind legs,

Always scare the predators.

 

Lay flat on rocks, as if they were to never move again,

Eyes glinting like diamonds.

They hear a snake slithering,

And then they shoot up to look bigger.

 

Always need to be safe,

Especially their young.

At least the elders can protect themselves,

Through camouflage of course.
