Nature's Predicament

The sands of time have rendered fear,
Blue skies are no longer clear.
People of India forced to drink brown water.
Causing a feeling of bitter manslaughter,
Forests now drained of trees that once used to cheer.
Crystal clear – the water gleamed,
Fish abundant, rivers streamed.
Ocean floors, now sandy white,
Now littered brown, natures plight.
Lush vegetation could be only one’s dream.
So, protect what has been given for free,
Our waters, skies, wildlife and trees.
For once they’re gone, don’t you say
Consider yourself warned of that fatal day,
And let that be a vital plea.
