Nature’s Rebirthing Cycle

The tree branch sways slowly while the leaves start to fall,
A child arrives and starts to sing a sombre lullaby.
The sky starts to cry, and the child begins to weep,
Tear drops falling from her face,
She looks down at her father’s grave, “H-happy birthday” she stutters,
Planting his favourite fruit tree,
“I hope it will grow, Dad”, she whispered with sympathy,
Full of hope that it will grow, to fill the emptiness inside her wounded heart.
A year passes by, the seasons take the leaves of trees and replace them with new life.
And the nearby river flows, day and night, providing life to the flora and fauna that live alongside it.
In the fourth season she finds herself standing over his grave once more, the fruit tree has grown, and she feels like his spirit has been restored.
The corners of her lips turn upwards, seeing that nature had granted her wish.
“It looks so pretty” she thinks, feeling a connection to the tree.
“I want to plant more” she decides, smiling with glee.
She grabs a few seeds from her pocket and begins to dig,
“My father’s love and nature’s spirit will help the trees grow strong!”
