Never Ending Line

Beneath sky
Below foam
Sea creatures nibble
Eroding their hides
Protecting their shrine
Sea swirls through them
Holes covered by coral
Passage way for slithery snails
A blur of rays
Ripples of light
Fading to none
Blinding statues’ eyes
Another is added
A newcomer, a stranger
They all say ‘Hello’
Along the never ending line
Statues forever
For centuries
Guarding secrets, lost in the tide
They stand, unified
