No Longer

The season of life
Soft dim blue skies fill
the nothingness
rays of light raging down
seeping through skin
Shades of grey and black overcome the light
Silence
Streets grew empty
Houses became packed
The sound of gunshots in the sky
The horror of the loud painful screeches
pets in terror
Everybody was fearing its arrival
And now once again
awaiting its exit
