No more trees to chop

l want to wake up to clear cerulean skies
But continuous smoke blankets our world
l want to swim in the sparkling pristine ocean
However, rubbish pollutes our waters
l want to go hiking up our breathtaking mountains
But they are comsumed with wildfires
l want to see irridescent flowers in the radiant meadows
But the ubiquitous drought has dried up our lands
l want to sleep to the melodious chirping of green grasshoppers
But nothing can grow on parched soil
l want to devour delicious, delectable and divine burgers
But there are not enough to feed us all
l want to walk in luscious, dense and verdant forests,
But there are hardly any trees left to sit under
Tomorrow l would like to visit our vibrant coral reef
But I won’t as La Niña has destroyed the coral
lf l travelled from Australia to China l would need to drink fresh water
With water shortages all around the world, l can’t travel anymore
Do you want sweet delicious fruit?
Sadly drought is destroying our fruit trees
