Ocean

The tranquil turquoise water of the wide-open seas,
Is gently rocking like leaves in the breeze.
The waves roll and wash over the cobblestone-shaped rocks,
Leaving left-over moisture glistening from the golden sunlight locks.
The push and pull of the ocean’s tides,
Brings shells and sand from far and wide.
When the wild winds pick up,
Then the dark gloomy seas get rough.
The white icy caped peaks looked very threatening
Are those seas really beckoning?
But I will wait…
Wait…
Wait….
For the tranquil turquoise water of the wide-open seas
To return and set me free.
