Oceans Dream Through Seashells

I put a shell to my ear
and listen to what I need to hear
A faint sound of echoing waves
and then I hear...
The seashell whisper tales of abundant oceans
shades of blue and salty seas
and mammoth whales swimming in curvy motions
It tells the story of how it sheltered creatures
and battled off hungry otters
with his magnificent design and detailed features
I listen entranced to the ancient tale
and imagine the colour of a playful whale
The shell is my telephone to the under water world
my connection to the sea
and I can dial it whenever my mind needs to be unfurled.
I put a shell to my ear, its colours gleaming,
and listen to the melodic whispers
of oceans dreaming ,..
