As I close my eyes and think
How endangered species are on the brink
Hiding, dying, and fading away
They won’t come out to play today
Can you hear them calling out
As they are forced to walk down a dark route
The only thing that can hear them are the trees,
The birds, the fishes, and the breeze
Maybe we're just blind, we're just scared
The things we're about to lose, we're all unprepared
While we laugh, they cry
And to make them happy nobody tries
We're all responsible for our actions
But all we care about is our satisfaction
To give them a bit of our regard
Is it really that hard
So, as I close my eyes and think
How endangered animals are on the brink
Hiding, dying, and fading away
They won’t come out to play today
