Ode to Trees

Bountiful benefactor of beauty and breathtaking bliss,
Destruction deforming diversity into desert,
Selfless sacrificial saviour of serenity and safety,
Oppressing the organic, obliterating the o-zone,
Heavenly havens of habitats and harmony
Grumbling grazing gadgets gobbling greens,
Anchorage accommodating all that arrive,
Maniacal machines maim and mar the mainland,
These terrific trees topple,
For the benefit of superficial human expenditures.
