Once

Once, there was a land,

A remarkable one,

One that we would have wished to understand.

The gorgeous grassy gamuts, green as ever,

The tallest mountains that touch the stars,

And the gushing rivers that flowed with the wind.

But now, all we see are remains.

All the destruction!

All the chaos!

All the carnage!

Our diabolical heart inherits our thoughts and we fall apart.

Darkness spreading throughout the hills, 

Taking homes and taking life,

And all that we can think about is our evil wills.

The lions roared,

The monkeys screamed,

The dolphins squealed. 

The destruction of our world is absolutely unforgivable.

If only we had the world we had before.
