Once,

The Sun's rays stretched across the sky,

Delicate dewdrops slipped down fresh grass,

And rainbow birds claimed the skies.

Do you remember

The smell of mud after the rains in winter

And the aroma of blooming gardenias in summer?

Now,

A smoky haze blankets the skies

The land lies bare and empty,

And concrete jungles stretch

Higher than the bird can fly.

What happened

To those goals we set to reach?

The plan B, C and D,

And all the promises they made?

Once upon a time,

Nature was the setting to our fairytale.

Now,

There is no knight in shining armour to save us from ourselves.
