Orange paper daisies
Glowing in the sun
Lighting up the bush
Like orbs of honey rum

Stroke them 'tween your fingers,
Hear their crackling responses:
"We look like tissue paper,
but really are much stronger.
Try in vain to rip us!
Just patting would be better."

Orange paper daisies
Seducing all the bees
Who come to spread their seeds
Blowing in the breeze

So may you bloom forever,
Eternal years to come.
But since we mess with nature
that could be
a finite
sum.
