As my home became unstable,

My memories were just a fable.

The roots screamed with agony,

While I yearned for family.

The world seemed to collapse,

My stubborn brain resisted.

Fighting for my community,

Doubt and fear rustled my orange fur.

One,

By one,

We fell.

It was like a pan full of oil,

Our lives were going away.

But,

I am here,

To stay.
