In the semi-lit path (also green) of a tropical forest

A young boy and girl were walking

They loved to trek, the crunching of leaves present,

Which was why they started talking

While the cicadas sang their serenade, the birds chirped their song.

And then the boy littered his food wrapper without any guilt or pain.

The girl cried out"Don't do that! It's bad!".

The boy asked, "Why?", and so the young girl began to explain.

She said, "Don't you love the pretty trees?

How they swish and sway

In the wind without a care

Making soft sounds throughout the day.

The young boy was silent.

The whole forest waiting for his reply

He looked at the rainbow of colours around him

And replied with a sigh,

"Of our pollution, harsh and careless

Of the world around us, no need for a debate

We have to save our world together

Before it is too late."
