Paged Memories

Pages revealing secrets
thoughts and words
Many words mean nothing
to the worlds beyond,
But to the writer it is everything
Though it may seem childish
All the sorrows and happiness
are drained into these pages
like a plain canvas
waiting to be painted
like a journalist
waiting to tap away on his keyboard
but as time plays
memories fade
It may seem fine
For a perfect canvas like you
To forget me inside this cage
Trapped with other forgotten things
Like the tattoo on your skin
painted with colours of firm
but I no longer am anything to you
Still I wait for your return
I used to see you smile
I used to see you frown
now all I see
is the faint shadow
of those forgotten memories
