Cool blue waves rinse them clean,
Innocent people sacrificed to Poseidon.
Amongst bright coral and coloured fish,
Where salt water strengthens their thirst
People of stone cast away to the mercy of the sea.
Each day people pray to be freed,
Silence drowns out all cries for help,
They’ve been left to be consumed,
Isolated from people they once called friend
Land is far away from their weary grasp.
Even in a crowd they feel alone
Fish come and go, people stay,
Yet why is it that those people feel alone?
They did nothing yet they are chained to the void,
Waves are also cruel as they mask their tears.
Cool blue waves wash over them,
As people dream in a timeless slumber,
They’ll dream forever of a paradise far away,
Of people they miss and things they enjoyed,
So distant from those people of stone.
