Pilgrimage to our roots

The gargantuan great oak trees now bloomed
The verdant leaves left lingering visions
And because of this, despair was now doom
And the roots great whales, so the decision
I left the city and walked on my way
The forest closed around a forsaken path
I walked for years where the animals play
And I at last felt nature's fierce wrath
Where fallen trees lie desolate and dead
And moonlight descends in soft yellow glow
At last, I am in place to rest my head
When respite ends I go to place unknown
So wandered world's end for revelation
Modern life was nature deprivation
