Platypus

He swims underwater,
Searching for food.
Watching out for others,
Growling when he’s in a mood.
With his sharp claws,
And his poisonous beak.
None have jaws,
But some live in the creek.
He is an epic mammal king.
Webbed feet, streamlined body, and flat tail
Laying eggs and doing their thing.
Underfur silver and pale.
110 million years ago, the first platypus was born.
He can live for 20 years,
They emerge to play at dawn.
Deep brown fur, excellent swimmer, protecting them from all fears.
