Swaying in the wind,

close enough to spread my seeds

but too far to be with them.

Surrounded by concrete

like a bird in a cage,

confined from the grass, the flowers and

my children.

I stretch out my branches trying to reach them

almost there

but not close enough.

I see the others swaying freely

in big families altogether.

My whole life I was wishing for a life like that

I wish that was me

please set me free
