Please Stop!

the sky black or maybe blue

the clouds ebony or maybe white

the stars are oh so bright

the tide is high or maybe weeping

most humans are asleep 

but some are not

some are working

cut cut cut

thinking money 

just think, what could the trees see?

their friends and family getting cut down, dying

how do you like dying?

you know, if we cut down all of our opulent trees

they will die, even though they did nothing

and we will die too

at this point, we probably deserve to die

this wouldn't have happened if we weren't alive

so that brings the question:

would it bring this rotting planet

good or bad?

I think we all know the answer

humans may be evil or humans may not

but what you're doing, please please stop

the trees give us oxygen

and we give them, well, nothing

all we give them is cutting them down

for fashionable furniture or pretty paper

why do we want to kill our opulent land

that many humans and animals

have stepped foot on?

if we keep going like this,

maybe not anymore 

just to let you know

the world is rotting
