Nature can become troublesome, especially in Winter,
When I’m no more than just a splinter.
And all the other trees,
Stay green throughout the chilly breeze.
Despite my envies, I know the Evergreens are jealous
Somehow bees become so careless,
Evergreens suddenly become fruitless
However, the leaves were having a ball
Surfing, dodging under the trees so tall!
Catching the rays of the first light,
Makes the leaves start to take flight!
Sadly, when leaves get raked away,
Slowly, slowly they begin to biodegrade.
Throughout all this the forest remains Zen
As they observe all the wonders of nature
For all this unrestful behaviour
Will end when Spring comes again.
