Pointe Shoes

Pointed toes
On my big toe trying to balance
Now I am getting the hang of it
In the centre we pose
Tendu-ing my feet to the front
Excitedly I leap around.
Smearing the block with rosin so I don’t fall over
Hopping from toe to toe
Overjoyed that I got my pirouette
Even though it is hard, I love my pointe shoes
Someday I won’t fall over.
