Priceless

My piano is like a volcano
That explodes with colour, light and sound.
Majestic and noble from a distance
Fiery and passionate inside
When her lid is closed, she is silent and sombre
When her lid is opened, the sound pours out
When I set my nimble fingers down on the precious keys
A new world is opened and my mind is free
Each note adds a new, floating thought
To my mind
And lifts away the harsh and negative criticisms
Leaving me serene and peaceful
She may seem dark and inanimate at first sight
But joy spills from her
She is like a black stallion:
Beautiful, graceful, responsive
Her value cannot be defined by money.
She is priceless
