Rainbow Creation

With majestic ears like wide wings that woosh,
and an elongated snout.
My protector, creatively created, is guarding me,
from the shelf above my bunk.
Worn-out splashes of paint,
red, yellow, purple, orange, green and blue.
On a clay foundation embedded in clear glaze,
delivers harmony when combined.
My initials etched in its earthen foot,
remind it that it’s mine.
I ponder on its earthly beginnings,
created by Mother Nature herself,
transformed into my rainbow creation.
