Rainforest Wonder

I stare up into the leaves,

Then to the ground.

I feel as if I’m flying

As I peacefully look all around!

I like it when parts of the clouds crash onto me,

When the twigs crunch beneath my feet,

When the trees invite me to climb them,

When there are lots of new creatures to meet.

I love how the sun shines warmly,

The refreshing breeze tickles my face

I love it when a big drop of rain falls on my cheek

The rainforest certainly is the best place!

The trees tower over me and the canopy calls from above,

I love everything here,

But what I really want to do is follow that dove!

It fills me with wonder 

What these little creatures can do so I stare up at him then suddenly ask,

“Hey little dove, do you mind if I follow you?”

So we set off to travel far and wide,

Together we get lost in nature and I can’t contain my excitement inside!
