The mirror stands alone, untouched.
Rays of light flaring out
Envisioning an image perfect,
Desired love; a want for joy.
The oppression of being judge.

A glance at the mirrored self -
Hollow eyes look back at me
Bound by an empty figure,
Whispers of hatred entwined within.
Encircling and reaching out
Meaningless, to no avail,
Reflection bearing disgust.

Gaze dropped to the ground
The mirror shatters.
And so do I.
Broken pieces sprawled around
