Wind whips through the night sky,

Herding the clouds into their airy prison.

Leaves turn and tumble chaotically in the sky battle,

Caught in the never-ending rapids.

The stars sprinkle the night sky like tiny specks of dust,

They seem so close, but yet so far.

The night sky is covered in hues,

An artist’s palette of purple and blues.

And If I listen close enough,

I can hear the luscious sound of waterfalls cascading down the rocks.

And with every splash and spray,

It washes my worries away.

No one remembers the way we used to dance,

Swaying and swinging in nature's embrace,

Her soft touch gentle like a baby bird.

Takes me back to the time of peace and happiness,

Where I can be myself once again.
