The chlorine sensation
reminds me how I achieved it.
The smooth purple texture
consoles me whenever I touch it.
It’s bigger than a medal
but smaller than trophy
It’s like plankton in a way;
Small, but of great significance.
Its dark purple colour
mesmerises me.
You can get it in summer or winter.
You have two chances,
but each chance
is not a walk in the park.
Many swim and train for this ribbon.
It determines your significance as a swimmer in NSW.
