There came a wave like a great hand

Grabbing anything possible on the rippled red sand.

Our dolphins and turtles swim beneath,

Not knowing what happens next or what they will eat.

Our bloodstream is the ocean

Watching the sunset for hours at a time,

But plastics and waste float above with endless amounts of glee.

The sea is a surfer's paradise, why poison it, I just don’t see.

Oil and water will never mix.

So why use it, you know there’s no quick fix!
Threatening life beneath our oceans.

The plastic particles start to break down naturally,

But little fish swim down and eat them unhappily.

It may not alway be a beautiful burning summer,

But let's save our ocean just one piece at a time!
