Seasons

The warmth of the sun,
The soft white sand,
The salt in your hair,
Sunkissed and tanned.
A blanket of crimson leaves cover the ground,
As the wind howls,
The cause of rustling leaves,
Sun streaming through the tall trees,
Making the slender trunks beam.
A blanket of deep snow,
Canopied above the grass,
As I hear winter's icy cold breath pass,
Making my bones shiver and shake.
Flowers bloom,
And butterflies emerge from their cocoon,
Sunflowers dance in the spotlight,
Birds form a choir,
As they fly higher and higher.
