SHADOW IN THE RIVER

In          

the forest, 

lost and scared,

the dark sky and the

tall trees made me terrified. 

But then I recognised the beauty of the green trees. 

The orange and pink sunset 

brought me peace, the birds around me were singing.

The dark moon was staring at me, shining like a diamond with a soft silver light. I found swing by the edge of the river. I sat down softly and I started to sway, calm, like I was in heaven. I could see my shadow clearly in the small river. 

The fish were jumping up and down like they were in a dream.  But the small turtle in the river looked sad, I wondered what made this small turtle feel this bad.

The sky turned dark, the clouds were gathering near each other, then it started to rain. 

At first, I was scared but then I took a deep breath,

The smell of the rain made me feel calm and blessed. 

In that moment, I felt safe and bright
with the trees all around me, everything felt right.
Even though I was lost, I found a nice space,
in the beauty of the forest, I was in paradise.
