Shards of glass

The shiny reflective glass glistens in the sun
Soaking in the light
And mirroring the most exquisite images

But with a simple crack
It smashes into a million pieces
Never to be restored

Confidence is devoured
And a young girls world goes black

She's not worthy, she's not pretty
The words scar like a stab to the heart
