Sitting, Waiting, caressed by the waves
Swimming, drifting, stuck in a haze
Resting, waiting, could this be the day?
He comes scuttling by, quite he is a ray
He crawls inside, I become his home
Together we stay, wherever he roams
On the beach, finally, home once more
He left me, he goes, and I’m on the shore
She walks along kicking the sand
Kicking around she thinks others are bland
She arrived upon me looking down
She smiled, glancing, not a sign of frown
She reaches, touches, parties a dance
To her I was beautiful from a single first glance
Grey, I am the smoke billowing high
Long spirals, tall, curling where I lie
With many others standing in a jar
Here I stay from home I am far
