Shells

It has soft white ridges
and i can see it rolling along the ocean floor
among other things.
It reminds me of bright red cheeks
hair that even the strongest fingers can't pull through
giggling and spluttering the salty water.
When I picked up the small shell and handed it to my friend
it didn't mean much
but now when I look at it
it means happiness and friendship.
