Clumsily splashing into the deep, blue sea I watch from the noisy beach.

I smell the fresh air as I touch the clear, cold water.

Only 15,000 hector’s dolphins are left in our world.

The rarest marine dolphin is threatened.

Gliding through the shimmering sea like a star in the sky.

With a round black dorsal fin that’s shaped like a Mickey Mouse ear.

A grey body with black and white markings.

Their short snouts hit the water as they dive in.

Dashing through the colourful coral.

Fish swim gracefully past the dolphin.

Clownfish, Bluegill, Basa and Blue tang.

Hector's dolphins are beautiful.
