Slowly But Surely

Crispy black burnt trees
Finally, the fire fled
The roots are reaching for a new life
New growth like a koala climbing up a tree
Roots grow like cables
Grass spreads rebelliously
The trees scarred like burnt skin
Reaching higher and higher to the blue sky
Regeneration smiles and dances delicately, slowly, but surely fills hearts with glee.
