Soaring to the Skies

As roots slowly stretch through the soil, above it expands into many branches
Roots knotted more complex and delicate than
A spider web
Still and steady as the bark starts to cripple off and the inside clear crystal water
The leaves swaying against the wind yet fragile and snaps like glass,
The squirrel flies through the air,
Picking nut after nut,
It cools under the sky-scraping tree, waiting for the summer sun to lower its position,
Centuries of memories carved inside the ancient hollow tree,
Would you be treated the same?
