Late Spring and Summer ahead and many warm days.

The outback fires raged and raged.

A trace of darkness in the harsh flames.

I stand in awe at the forgotten names.

The Government puts all before nature, it’s sad to say,

The future generations may have to pay.

The leaves of ash, the trees of dust,

run-down houses, cars of rust.

It was only a harmless little bushfire, but gosh!

How did it burn!

Well it’s certainly amazing,

But a man must live and learn.
