Springtime

The icy wind gently blows through the trees
The flowers are swarming with ten thousand bees
Animals are born and cling to their mothers
Others are born, more sisters and brothers
The fish jump and splash in the tranquil lake
The under-the-sea creatures now come awake
The soft grass grows, delicately green
All the fallen leaves nowhere to be seen
The sun burns so brightly, shining on me
No more grey clouds, almost too bright to see
The sky is so blue, it looks like a painting
It is now warm, so no more waiting
This feels like new, the birds want to sing
Nature is anew at the time of spring
