Nominations for the sweetest creature are - drumroll -

wearing the latest in luxurious fur coats,

pygmy possum, potoroo, numbat, and eastern quoll.

We cut the koala from our list,

popular with the tourist folk,

but gets in the way of progress.

Also, our fine feathered flying mates,

Regent honey eater, orange-bellied parrot,

Too many birds, so we chose not to nominate.

And the hairy-nosed wombat is well… hairy!
