Nature lies outside the doors,

Waiting for the devices to just take a pause.

We need to stop and look around,

For so much nature can be found.

Weeds and trees,

Birds and bees,

Grass and flowers;

We played in them for hours.

Toys and phones are taking over,

But what you don't see is that tiny clover;

Tiny things hidden on the ground,

Waiting for you to help them become found.

But you don't move a muscle;

The games on your iPad are the only hustle.

Long ago, we had fun;

Long ago, we played in the sun;

Long ago, we went out with a friend;

But now, all that has come to an end.

The phones and the tech—

Nature has been taken over by the internet.
